Tzofim Olami — the greatest Zionist endeavor of the 21st century.
The Israel Scouts Movement has always been much more than a youth movement. It is a significant part of Israeli society and of the State of Israel’s values-based educational system. Yet, the Movement’s mission does not end at the country’s borders. To that end, Tzofim Olami was established and operates in arenas beyond Israel’s borders, driven by a sense to connect the Jewish people in the Diaspora to the State of Israel, strengthen mutual responsibility, and deepen the sense of belonging and shared responsibility for the fate of the Jewish people.
In every city and community reached by Israel Scouts emissaries around the world—especially in North America—they brought with them the spirit of the Movement: a living, breathing Israeli identity, love of the land, respect for human dignity, and an aspiration for a shared future.
Today, Tzofim Olami is the largest and leading Israeli educational-Zionist movement in the world. The Movement operates in dozens of communities and across approximately 50 Tzabar chapters in Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America, educating more than 7,000 youth. For thousands of Israeli families in the Diaspora, the Israel Scouts tribes serve as a communal, values-driven, and educational home.
Tzofim Olami works to strengthen Israeli and Jewish identity among the young generation growing up outside of Israel. The Movement’s activities combine values education, social responsibility, youth leadership, and a deep connection to the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Alongside this, the Movement leads many initiatives and programs that promote Jewish renewal, connecting identities, communities, and cultures in Israel and in the Diaspora.
Wherever the Movement operates, its emissaries and youth bring to life a renewed Zionist vision: building a strong Israeli community—connected, proud of its identity, and working to strengthen the Jewish people as a whole.
Youth members and alumni in Israel and around the world take an active part in national and social missions, and continue to lead meaningful action for Israeli society and the Jewish people.
This is not only a Zionist endeavor. It is a story of mission, hope, and faith in a shared future.
The vision of Tzofim Olami opens with a statement that we are an organization that constitutes a Zionist movement. Beyond the clear connection between the word “Scouts” and the word “movement”, in our case the choice of the word “movement” was made in light of its definition as an organized public that advocates a shared ideology.
This concept expresses our commitment to connecting Israeli communities in the Diaspora with the State of Israel and to strengthening Israeli, Jewish and Zionist identity among the younger generation.
The movement’s members and alumni in Israel and around the world take an active part in national and social missions, and the movement’s commitment to the State of Israel and its residents continues to resonate without interruption.
