On the delegation to Switzerland, I realized how much power we have as Scouts. I discovered that connection is built in the small moments: walking together after an activity, an inside joke, a conversation about the music we love and about life—and suddenly a bond forms that crosses borders and political opinions. I came back with the feeling that when you give young people space, they show you leadership and humanity without making a big deal out of it at all
9th Grader, Shevet “BaMidbar” – participated in the KISC delegation of 2025
In Sibiu, there was a moment that changed the entire delegation for me. We walked into a meeting with the Jewish community, and instead of an ‘event,’ we received something far more powerful: they told us about what once was a large community, Jewish life, names and families, and how today only a few remain, but with immense respect for what they continue to preserve. It wasn’t a history lesson; it was a lesson of the heart: watching how they light a candle, how they remember names, how they keep going despite everything. And that where I understood why we do those delegations. not only for the youth, but also for this connection, across generations and across places, that keeps living Judaism alive. I left with a sense of responsibility, but also with so much hope
