Today, Tzofim Olami is the leading educational Zionist movement in its field, both in Israel and across the globe. It operates in Israel and the Diaspora to educate a generation of Jewish-Israeli youth who see themselves as part of the Jewish people and who feel a deep connection to the State of Israel.
“Tzofim Around the World – The Israeli Scouts Movement Worldwide” includes Tzofim Tzabar, Garin Tzabar, and international and diaspora partnerships.
In parallel, the movement has initiated countless programs that promote Jewish renewal, embracing diverse identities, cultures, and backgrounds in Israel and abroad. Members and alumni of the movement take an active part in national and social missions, and the movement’s commitment to the State of Israel and its people continues to resonate powerfully.
This is not just a Zionist endeavor—it is a story of hope, purpose, and a shared future.
The Israeli Scouts (Tzofim) movement has always played a central role in leading national processes and social change in the State of Israel. Its activities have never been confined to the country’s borders. From its earliest decades, the movement operated on behalf of the State of Israel in Jewish communities around the world, aiming to strengthen the connection between the global Jewish people and Israel, and to foster a sense of mutual responsibility and Jewish peoplehood.
Scouts – both members and leaders – have served as movement emissaries in dozens of cities worldwide, with an emphasis on North America, bringing the beauty of Israel wherever they went. In the 1970s, an additional and significant dimension was added to the movement’s work abroad: the Tzofim became the leading Israeli organization working with children of Israeli families living abroad, helping maintain their connection to their homeland.
The Hebrew Scout Movement has always been involved in leading national processes and social changes in the State of Israel. Its activity did not stop at the borders of the state: in the first decades of its establishment, the Scout Movement acted as the state’s mission in the Diaspora, with the aim of strengthening the connection of the Jewish people around the world to the State of Israel and developing a sense of mutual responsibility and community among the Jewish people. Scouts and teams went on the movement’s mission to dozens of cities around the world, with an emphasis on North America, and brought beautiful Israel to everyone they went to. During the 1970s, a significant layer was added to the movement’s work in the Diaspora: the Scout Movement became the central Israeli organization operating among Israeli children living abroad and maintaining their connection to the homeland.
