The Department for Diaspora Affairs and International Relations leads Tzofim Olami’s global engagement, strengthening connections between Israeli youth and Jewish and non-Jewish communities worldwide. Through partnerships with Jewish organizations and international scouting networks, we create meaningful encounters that bring together teens from diverse backgrounds.
Each year, more than 2,000 youth members and young leaders from Israel participate in over 70 international delegations. These encounters foster leadership, deepen Jewish identity, and promote intercultural dialogue- encouraging mutual understanding, tolerance, and a shared commitment to living together in diverse societies.
The International Delegations team builds partnerships with youth organizations-particularly across global scouting networks- creating meaningful encounters between Israeli youth and their Jewish and non-Jewish peers worldwide. Each summer, more than 70 delegations take place, primarily across Europe, offering immersive experiences that foster leadership, cross-cultural understanding, and lasting connections.

Each year, approximately 700 participants-including youth movement members from Israel, global Tzabar leaders, gap-year participants, and professional teams-take part in values-driven heritage journeys across Europe. These journeys, held in Poland, Germany, and additional countries, go beyond travel: they create meaningful encounters between Israeli and Diaspora participants, deepen Jewish identity, and foster a shared sense of history, responsibility, and connection across generations and communities.

In the Jewish summer camps track, participants serve as counselors in day and overnight camps, leading activities in Hebrew, Israeli culture, and values-based education while creating meaningful connections with campers. In the Friendship Caravan, participants form a performing group that engages over 200 Jewish communities, camps, and communal settings across North America-using music, dance, and storytelling to strengthen the connection to Israel and foster shared cultural.

The Israel Programs division brings together all delegations hosted in Israel, offering immersive experiences that connect Jewish youth from around the world with Israeli society, culture, and identity. Key initiatives include “Chetz V’Keshet,” an identity-focused journey for teens from North America, alongside Tzofim summer programs such as “Tzababa” (North America) and “Sabres” (Europe). In addition, youth groups from across the globe participate in educational visits to Israel, creating meaningful encounters and lasting connections.
